Coach Focus: Handstand walking is a skill that is here to stay, so developing proficiency in the handstand/handstand walk should be something each affiliate should prioritize. For gyms not sold on it yet, what does a solid handstand walk teach? Body awareness is #1, but a close second is what it demonstrates in an athlete. If an athlete can support their entire body weight through their arms we are sure they have strong, healthy shoulders, which is something we are certainly looking to develop.
